What the Akuna Capital process tests

An arithmetic screen: 80 questions in 8 minutes, typed answers (not multiple choice).
A separate sequences test: 24 pattern questions in 12 minutes.
A second online assessment focused on probability.
A recorded video interview on how you think (behavioral).
Technical calls: brainteasers, combinatorics, expected value, square roots, market making and options basics.

Warm up on the real thing

80-in-8 pace: 48 × 25

1200. Multiplying by 25 is dividing by 4 then times 100: 48/4 = 12, so 1200. Reading 25, 50 and 75 as quarters is most of the speed on their arithmetic screen.

Sequences test: 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ?

21. Each term is the sum of the previous two (a Fibonacci rule). Their sequences section mixes arithmetic, geometric and Fibonacci-style patterns like this one.

Technical call: you draw 2 cards from a standard deck. Probability both are aces?
