IMC interview prep: pass the assessment, own the Super Day
IMC screens broadly first: a week-long online assessment mixing cognitive games, fast arithmetic, patterns and probability, then a Super Day built around a live trading game where you must justify every quote. The trainable parts all have a matching drill here, free.
What the IMC process tests
- An online assessment block, about a week to complete: NeurOlympics cognitive games plus timed tests.
- Timed mental arithmetic: two-digit multiplication, percentages, fast number work.
- Sequences and pattern recognition as an explicit section, plus numerical and diagrammatic aptitude.
- Basic probability under time pressure.
- The Super Day: interviews on expected value and market intuition, and a trading game where you quote markets on event outcomes, size them and defend the risk.
Warm up on the real thing
A ready-made training plan
The app's Prep by Firm desk has an IMC card that maps the process onto the right drills and launches each in one click: the 80-in-8 arithmetic sprint to overtrain their timed-math pace, a dedicated number-sequences run for the pattern section, the Odds Sprint (15 fast probability calls on a per-question clock), a probability study set on expected value, dice, coins and market intuition, the market-making arena for the Super Day game, and a full timed interview simulation. Your best score per format is tracked.
